Pocket Mortys | Programmer | Pocket Sized Hands
Worked on the mobile game Pocket Mortys. This project involved myself working with and providing regular updates to an external client within the United States.
Worked on a Unity-based client codebase that had been added to over many years by multiple different studios and teams
Added many new features, including an overhaul to the “Morty Daycare” storage system, 3 new multiplayer hubworld levels called Dimensions, implementing new items that required client, server and database changes to be successfully deployed.
Managed different project areas using multiple repositories - Unity project, server code, database management, various other project specific tools
Implemented robust new server code using javascript, including the use of knex.js to interact with the game’s postgreSQL database
Uploading and managing new asset bundles going to live servers, be it new Mortys, Raids, Avatars, and working with the Art team to resolve any issues as and when they arise.
Management of live service events - Raids, rotating time-limited shop offers, seasonal and time limited IAPs, etc.
Use of AWS various services to monitor alarms, managed server instances and aliases, rotating content between Develop, Staging and Live environments
